This is a direct appeal from a sentence of death imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of the first degree murder of John McDonald and of criminal conspiracy to commit murder, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. The jury found that the two aggravating circumstances outweighed the one mitigating circumstance, and returned a sentence of death. Post-verdict motions were denied and the trial court imposed the death sentence. No additional penalty was imposed for the remaining convictions.
